PASSENGER AIRLINE – HONG KONG

Before this airline had even begun scheduled flights they had already seen some significant exposure to European VAT on supplier invoices. During their start-up phase staff regularly travelled to Europe for meetings with aviation service suppliers and Eurocontrol. The company was also participating in and attending many costly industry travel events and trade shows in Europe as well as advertising in regional press.

By appointing OMS during their start-up phase the airline was free to concentrate on their core activity while OMS captured and refunded to them recoverable VAT. By visiting the finance department and working with them on a one-to-one consultative basis several strategies were devised and implemented to reduce their exposure over the longer term.

CARGO AIRLINE – CHINA

Not only was OMS chosen to perform VAT recovery services we also registered the company for VAT in the United Kingdom. Working with European tax authorities on their behalf we regularly recover this airline's VAT from such diverse countries as Sweden and Finland. Much of this activity would have been a large drain on their resources if the airline had continued to try and perform this function themselves from their Headquarters in China.

CARGO COMPANY – CANADA

This company regularly attends trade shows in Europe as well as sponsoring events at trade shows which they don't attend. OMS works to capture and refund all recoverable VAT incurred ensuring their trade show budget works as hard as it can for them.

CARGO AIRLINE – TURKEY

OMS has been working with this airline for over 15 years. We have registered the airline for VAT in the UK and recovered VAT for them in Germany and Belgium. In addition we operate payroll and deal with payments of Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) to HM Revenue and Customs on their behalf.
